Secretariat of the Coordination Council

 

The Secretariat of the Coordination Council (hereinafter referred to as the "Secretariat") is responsible for organizing the activities of the Coordination Council. The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan oversees the formation of the Secretariat's composition and the organization of its functions.

The Secretariat serves as an organizational body that undertakes relevant activities in the field of transit freight transportation and supports the mission of the Coordination Council. The principal responsibilities of the Secretariat are as follows:

    • ●  To ensure the coordination of all activities related to transit freight transportation and facilitate information exchange among members;
    • ●  To conduct relevant research, prepare analyses, and provide strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing the efficiency of transit freight transportation;
    • ●  To assist in the preparation and implementation of legal acts and to support the resolution of legal matters;
    • ●  To disseminate information concerning transit freight transportation to the public, organizations, and stakeholders, and to manage the official website;
    • ●  To promote awareness in the field of transit freight transportation by participating in conferences, seminars, and other events;
    • ●  To foster cooperation with state authorities, local and international organizations, and private entities;
    • ●  To propose initiatives for the establishment of tariff concessions and other opportunities.

The activities of the Secretariat are designed to enhance Azerbaijan's capabilities in transit freight transportation and to strengthen the country's position within the international logistics environment.
