2015 - 2025

COORDINATING COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN ON TRANSIT FREIGHT

The Coordinating Council on Transit Freight of the Azerbaijan Republic (Azərbaycan Respublikasının Tranzit Yük Koordinasiya Şurası) plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating transit freight activities across Azerbaijan. Established in 2015 to oversee the efficient movement of freight through the country, the Council collaborates closely with government agencies, transport companies, and international partners. Its responsibilities include implementing a unified and transparent tariff policy for transit cargo transportation via rail, sea transport, seaports, and sea terminals within Azerbaijan. The Council aims to simplify border crossing procedures, streamline transportation processes, and ensure compliance with international standards. By providing coordination among government bodies and relevant organizations, it contributes to enhancing Azerbaijan's position as a vital transit hub connecting Europe and Asia.
