"Doqquz qardaş" station on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway

Today, a new traction substation at the "Doqquz qardaş" station on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in Georgia will be tested. This work is being carried out by the ATEF Group of Companies (Azerbaijan), which is acting as a subcontractor within the framework of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction project. Nadir Azmammadov, Head of the Press Office at Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, informed APA-Economics of this development.

It is noteworthy that this traction substation will supply electrical power for the initial phase of the railway construction at the Marabda-Karstakhi section on the Georgian side.

As part of the project, reconstruction work has been carried out at the substation, with new transformers and modern equipment installed. Testing will be conducted after the reconstruction of this railway section.
